MARLBORO, N.J. — A choose has briefly blocked three New Jersey faculties from imposing new insurance policies relating to transgender college students.
The state requested for a preliminary injunction in opposition to three Monmouth County faculty districts that needed dad and mom to be notified if their little one requested for transgender lodging.
According to NJ.com, that request was granted by a choose Friday.
The state’s lawyer common argued that if enforced, the insurance policies may forcefully out college students and trigger hurt.
In an announcement, Lawyer Common Matthew J. Platkin mentioned partly, “We will each preserve dad and mom knowledgeable about their kids’s growth and shield the civil rights of our most susceptible college students. Our legal guidelines require nothing much less.”
