A 38-page, closely redacted model of the affidavit utilized by the FBI to justify its Aug. 8 search of former President Donald Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago was unsealed by a federal judge Friday. The FBI seized 11 units of labeled paperwork on the Palm Seashore, Florida, resort and golf membership, throughout that search.
The affidavit states there was “possible trigger” that proof of obstruction can be discovered at Mar-a-Lago.
Federal Justice of the Peace Decide Bruce Reinhart ordered the affidavit unsealed with redactions, although the Justice Division had argued in opposition to it to guard an ongoing investigation, their strategies and the identities of brokers and witnesses. Media organizations, together with CBS Information, argued for it to be unsealed.
