Two disgruntled, big-name level guards might quickly be switching coasts.
The Brooklyn Nets. and Los Angeles Lakers are actively engaged in discussions on a commerce package deal that may ship Russell Westbrook to Brooklyn in trade for Kyrie Irving, according to a Yahoo Sports report.
However, there are hurdles either side should overcome earlier than any deal might be struck.
The Nets are searching for draft compensation and, in response to the Yahoo Sports activities report, need the Lakers to take 30-year-old Joe Harris and his remaining $38.6 million — owed over the following two years — within the deal. The Lakers, in response to the report, don’t appear inclined so as to add Harris to the deal and are as a substitute in search of Seth Curry as a part of any settlement.
The 31-year-old Curry, the brother of Warriors star Stephen Curry, is on an expiring $8.5 million deal.

Irving, 30, and Westbrook, 33, used their participant choices to choose into the ultimate 12 months of their offers for the 2022-23 season, valued at $36.5 million and $47 million, respectively.
