The mockingly named container ship Ever Ahead grew to become stranded after departing the Port of Baltimore Seagirt Terminal late Sunday, based on mapping knowledge compiled by Bloomberg News.

The 1,096-foot-long vessel was en path to Norfolk, Virginia, when it obtained caught, based on the information outlet.

“The ship’s grounding is just not stopping different ships from transiting to the Port of Baltimore,” Maryland Port Administration chief William Doyle mentioned in an announcement.

“Efforts have been underway since final night time to attempt to free the ship and can proceed right now. The Coast Guard is monitoring the scenario,” he added.
