SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim stated Wednesday on a sports activities radio call-in present that there’s a plan in place for when he steps down.

“There’s a plan,” Boeheim instructed ESPN Radio in Syracuse. “I’m simply telling you there’s a plan.”

Boeheim didn’t reveal any particulars of the association as a result of that would affect recruiting. He stated the college will resolve when to make it public and he expects to have enter on the choice of his alternative.

The 77-year-old Boeheim, the second-winningest coach in Division I historical past with 997 victories, behind solely Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, is nearing the top of his forty sixth season on the helm. As a substitute, after 25 years with this system as a participant and a coach, Hopkins instantly departed in March 2017 when he was provided the job at Washington and Boeheim continued to teach the Orange.
