NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There was a push Sunday to assist victims of human trafficking.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and New York State Attorney General Letitia James introduced their help for a pair of bipartisan payments.
The laws would assist establish and rescue trafficking victims, help them in restoration, and in addition enhance the methods knowledge is collected.

“Our struggle in opposition to human trafficking is among the best human rights instances and causes of our time. I’m totally dedicated to passing these two payments and dealing with all of you to assist survivors rebuild their lives, to fight this scourge on society, and to finish modern-day slavery,” Gillibrand mentioned.
Lawmakers say there have been 11,000 instances of human trafficking in 2020.

New York had the fourth-highest variety of victims.
