Ari Lennox was arrested at an Amsterdam airport on Monday for “disturbing public order” after the R&B singer accused airline employees of racial discrimination.
Dutch army police stated Lennox was detained at Amsterdam Schiphol airport for allegedly being drunk in public and aggressive in direction of an airline official.
“I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a girl racially profiling me,” Lenox, 30, wrote in a twitter post addressing the incident.
In another tweet, Lennox accused “Amsterdam safety” of hating black individuals.
“Our unit discovered a girl filled with feelings, that wouldn’t relax,” spokesman Robert van Kapel informed Reuters. “That’s why she needed to be taken into custody.”
Lennox, whose actual identify is Courtney Shanade Salter, is greatest recognized for her 2019 single Shea Butter Child.
